Tried on another console all works fine. Anyone have any idea why the light won't shut off? Id need to know the model number. There’s a separate charge chip up until cpu-21. Ive seen a bad charge chip or the pin on the chip that tells the light to go out once it hits a certain voltage.

The original GBA SP charger is DC 5.2V 320ma. USB outputs DC 5V standard but the amps vary from one adapter to the next. If it's 320ma or close to it it should be fine. In actual practice there's a degree of tolerance even if it's not exactly the same.
1 Answer. If the power adapter is specifically labelled as a 230v, it would be unwise to directly plug it in to a 110v plug, such as those in the USA. You have the option to use a transformer to convert from 110v to 230v, or you could simply purchase another GBA power adapter in the United States. I double checked on google and found this post
