Ford Focus 2009 1.6 Zetec with 66000 on clock. Ford CMax 2010 1.6 Zetec 40000 on clock. can someone suggest the best oil to use. I was going to go with Ford formula F 5w30 fully synthetic or Castrol magnatec 5w30 fully synthetic? Also should I stay with Fully Synthetic or semi synthetic.
Hello there my ford focus 1.4 CL, Zetec SE engine (code FXDA or FXDB) appears to be consuming a large quantity of oil (Measured dipstick reading when on "flat" ground and can go from MAX marker to half way between MIN - MAX markers in less than 100 miles). I had a Focus Mk1 1.8 Zetec it had circa 80k on the clock when it was written off. It never needed topping up between it's annual oil change. Same with my current Mk2 1.6, never moves off the full maker on the dip stick, in fact that goes for all the cars I've owned in the last forty odd years.
